NLIHC President and CEO Diane Yentel provided an overview of the campaign and how its engagement with presidential candidates in 2020 elevated affordable housing as an election issue. Georgia Advancing Communities Together (Georgia ACT) President and CEO Dr. Bambie Hayes-Brown discussed election efforts in the 2020 campaign cycle and ongoing engagement with Georgia voters and candidates. NLIHC Senior Director of Media Relations and Communications Jen Butler previewed the campaign's communications strategy and tools for 2022. Researcher Gillian Slee of Eviction Lab shared groundbreaking new findings on the connection between rising eviction rates and declining voter turnout. The call concluded with a special message from Rep. Jesus "Chuy" Garcia (D-IL) on the Our Homes, Our Votes Act (H.R. 2215).
