This webinar covered the basics of mis/dis/mal information and shared strategies that housing advocates can employ to combat mis/dis/mal information targeted towards their communities. ​Justin Kwasa, the democracy program director at the League of Conservation Voters Education Fund, highlighted expected areas of misinformation in the upcoming election and how to prevent the spread in each step of the voter’s experience. He guided voters seeking to obtain information about their ballots or voting rules to verify with their local administrators and election officiants. Jeanette Senecal, senior director of Mission Impact at the League of Women Voters, differentiated between mis-, dis-, and mal-information during election season, along with strategies for recognizing and combating mis/dis/mal information during election season. See below for a collection of LWV materials and other resources that can be used to navigate mis/dis/mal information and promote accurate election information in your community.​​
