Across the country, Our Homes, Our Votes partners are putting civic engagement into action, meeting renters where they live, building resident leadership, and creating meaningful opportunities for people to participate in our democracy. Through the OHOV Mini-Grant Program and Pilot Communities initiative, housing organizations are developing creative, nonpartisan approaches to voter education, registration, outreach, and long-term civic engagement.

The Our Homes, Our Votes Mini-Grant Program provides funding, technical assistance, and resources to housing and community-based organizations advancing nonpartisan voter engagement among low-income renters. Grantees use these resources to host voter registration drives, candidate education events, resident workshops, civic engagement trainings, and get-out-the-vote efforts that empower residents to participate in the democratic process.

As part of this initiative, OHOV also spotlights grantee work through our Mini Roadshow a storytelling effort that highlights the innovative ways organizations are engaging their communities. Through photos, videos, and partner stories, the Mini Roadshow showcases successful events, celebrates local leadership, and shares promising practices that can inspire organizations across our national network.
